• Service Quality Test and Traffic Trial of various links and systems to ensure optimum performance of circuits.

• Liaison with various units of the departments for optimum utilization of the network.

• Operation of International Telecommunication links of neighboring SAARC countries, e.g., Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.

• Management, control and optimum utilization of transmission systems through state of art Regional Network Management & Surveillance System (at Kolkata).

• Providing emergency communication facilities during natural calamity as well as providing occasional instantaneous connectivity to various national dignitaries on the move.
